Aronai is worn around the neck or shoulders during cultural programs, festivals like Bwisagu, and important ceremonies. It is also presented as a symbol of respect, honor, and hospitality to guests. The scarf represents Bodo identity, culture, and craftsmanship.
The Aronai generally has a simple rectangular shape. The commonly used standard size is:
- Length: about 1.5 meters to 2 meters (150–200 cm)
- Breadth (Width): about 25 cm to 35 cm
